replication

whether you are doing domino replication or SAN replication you are still transferring data so the network utilization would be similar. As for cluster replication, just because your servers are clustered does not mean you need to use cluster replication to keep the dbs in sync. You can disable cluster replication and just use regular scheduled replication at times that are convenient for you. Presumably once daily should suffice.
